Day 4 in Alaska

Today’s adventure started at the SeaLife Center in Seward. We got up and moving by 7 a.m. and left the Airbnb around 8:15. Granted, when we got there, we realized it didn’t actually open until 9… someone, namely Nick and William, forgot to check the opening time.

Today was also extremely wet. It rained nonstop all day, and between the rain, wind, and colder temperatures, it definitely was not the most enjoyable weather to stand around in for long.

Once the SeaLife Center opened, we spent the morning walking around and seeing all kinds of sea life, from seals and sea lions to starfish and salmon. One of my favorite parts was getting to see the puffins. They are close enough to penguins in my mind that I could probably spend hours just watching them.

After exploring the exhibits, Anna and I ran around filming another TikTok video where we “interviewed” the animals. It should eventually end up on the FotoProMedia TikTok page.

For lunch, we stopped at a small café while trying to decide whether or not we wanted to attempt going to the tide pools in the weather. We eventually decided to at least drive out there and see how bad it was. Once we got there, though, the weather convinced us pretty quickly to turn around and head back to the Airbnb instead.

The rest of the day turned into a slower afternoon of naps, editing photos, and hanging out while watching movies. We made brats for dinner, and later in the evening, we all went through each other’s photos from the trip so far.
